With practice taking place on Thursday, Calan would have to get himself quickly up to speed on a circuit that provides plenty of challenges with no room for error.
With plenty of learning taking place, it was a solid start to the weekend. Calan having a clean run, quickly getting into the mix.
With the track's tight and tricky nature, qualifying provided a unique structure with sessions taking place in 2 groups.
With Calan placed in group A, he would qualify 8th, just 6 tenths of pole.
With group B taking place after group A, the final results saw Calan with the 12th fastest time. But due to the natural set up of the groups, saw him qualify 15th.
A day filled with promise, first time competing in Monaco against a field with multiple years of experience in Monte Carlo.
