Getting to Bahrain certainly has been an interesting exercise at the moment with all of the travel restrictions around the coronavirus. However, now we are here all seems normal and we are ready to go.
Friday started with preparations as a team and then we had quite a bit of media commitments for FIA Formula 3 for the new season. It was good fun and an enjoyable evening in the amazing atmosphere under lights here at the Bahrain International Circuit.
Today we worked on further planning with the team, but also started the day with the track walk. The circuit looks great, and certainly has more undulation than I initially realised through watching races and of course through the work on the simulator.
It is also very exciting seeing everything being set up for the Grand Prix here in a couple of weeks knowing that we will be racing here. The lighting is incredible, and hard to believe just how much there is around the circuit.
Tomorrow we head out early for our first testing session in the morning, and then will have another in the afternoon. Times for the sessions are;
Session 1 – 9:00am – 11:30am local time (2:00pm – 4:30pm Perth time)
Session 2 – 2:30pm – 5:00pm local time (7:30pm – 10:00pm Perth time)
Live timing will be available through fiaformula3.com
