With an 8:35am time slot, Race 2 at Silverstone was to be the earliest start of the calendar, and in stark contrast to Saturday it was very cold conditions! Track temperature was only 17 degrees for the start of the race, whereas this was in excess of 30 degrees Saturday.
Starting from P14 as a result of his Race 1 finishing position, Calan didn't get away to as good a start as he has done so far this season, and over the opening corners dropped a couple of positions to P16. However, over coming laps managed to make one of these up with a move to take P15.
Towards the middle part of the race, Piastri made an error ahead which gave Calan the opportunity to pounce and take his position up the inside through Copse Corner.

A bunched Safety car re-start during the race saw Calan drop a positionj after slightly tagging the car in front in the final chicane, putting him back to P15. However in the final lap of the race he would regain that position to finish in a very solid P14 of this incredibly talented 30 car field.
"Really good weekend and fantastic job by all the team at Jenzer Motorsport. We are moving ahead and feeling great. Look forward to continue to push forward even more next round here again next week!", said Calan.
Round 5 of the FIA Formula 3 Championship commences at Silverstone again next Thursday.
