Friday was free practice day at the Red Bull Ring. The circuit here is amazing and I was looking forward to getting on to it for the first time in my career. There was the threat of rain about but it stayed away for the start of the day.
FP1 went well obviously getting accustomed to the circuit, but we were up to speed quickly and though challenging it is very enjoyable to drive. FP2 I improved further on the first run, and after a little lose at turn 4 later in the session the rain started which obviously prevented further movement in the order on the timesheets. We finished P9 and with a mix of tyres out there today we are feeling confident in our preparations for Qualifing and Race 1.
