The day started well again today with two practice sessions in the morning.
In the first of two sessions we had some early issues with the timing, however after that was fixed the car felt fantastic. I pushed hard to put in a 1:00.1, which was an 0.8 improvement in yesterday. This put me P6 for the session and less than 3 tenths off the quickest time.
In the second session I again went well ending up in P7 and only 2 tenths off the fastest time. Amazingly, the whole field was covered by less than 8 tenths if a second!

Race 1 today was added to the schedule to replace one of the races missed through the cancellation last Sunday. Therefore the grid was determined from Race 1 at that round and I was starting out of P7.
I didn’t get the best start away from the line and was in P9 at the end of the first lap. Then the chaos really started to happen with the first of multiple restarts in the first half of the race due to a number of seperate incidents.

All of the restarts were particularly scrappy, and were very difficult to navigate with cars very bunched on every occasion.
After one of the restarts, I made a move to take a position , and as I completed the move I was contacted by the other driver from the rear which sent me into the wall for a reasonably large accident which put me out of the race.
Following this there was even another incident at a restart which finally brought this messy race to an end.
To be honest I am not even sure where the results of the race landed as there were a number of penalties handed out. I quickly focused on the job at hand tomorrow which involves qualifying well and then the next race in the afternoon knowing that we have had very good pace here all weekend.
I know that the team at MTEC Motorsport have a big job ahead of them tonight to get the car right, which I am sure they will, and I am hugely appreciative to them for their efforts to do so.
Thank you everyone for the messages of support, and as always I am looking forward to tomorrow!
