Really productive first day of testing at Pemberey in Wales today, a great venue for a private test with just myself and team mate Cameron Das here allowing plenty of experimentation and track time.
Today has very much been about doing a “shakedown” with the new car, and getting to know and understand plenty of new variables for me with the extra downforce, and different Hankook tyres as opposed to the Michelins that I was running in Euroformula Open last year. With quite a few new team members here, it has also been great getting used to working with the guys.
The car is amazing to drive, much more downforce than I have driven before which means the corner speeds are incredible. It looks great too, and will look even better once all the Championship stickers are applied and ready to go at the first official European Formula Masters test.
I managed to fit in around 100 laps for the day, and plenty more to come tomorrow!
