I am very proud to announce that Edith Cowan University (ECU) have confirmed their continued sponsorship of my racing for 2017.
This is fantastic news and I am very proud to have the support of ECU regarded across Australia and in fact around the world as one of the leading Universities at which to study.
ECU’s Bachelor of Technology (Motorsports) qualification develops the technical, financial and management skills associated with manufacturing industries in general, and the motorsports industry in particular. Students gain a solid understanding of the design, simulation and fabrication processes, and the management issues associated with production of the complex automotive systems and the components that underpin the motorsport industry.
I have been fortunate to benefit from the amazing knowledge and skills of a number of race engineers from ECU this year and last as they assist me during practice sessions and race meetings in the Formula Ford Championship.
Each year, the students studying this qualification design, develop and compete a race car in the Formula SAE worldwide competition and are regularly one of the front running universities, and in 2016 finished 10th at Silverstone from over 100 of the top universities from around the globe.
Thank you to all at ECU for the amazing support, and I am very exciting about our continuing partnership into next year!
