On Dec 17, Calan travelled to Paris where he was invited to attend the 2024 SRO Championship Award presentations and gala dinner event.
The venue was the incredible Place Vendôme in the centre of Paris.
The SRO Awards are a lavish affair with stunning trophies initially presented to successful drivers and teams in the (name) room. Calan received two awards, the first his Championship winning trophy for the Silver class of the GT World Challenge Sprint Cup. The second, was for 3rd place in the overall Championship which included the Endurance Cup events, even though he did not compete in these events having collected enough points to do so in his dominant Sprint rounds.
For the evening function award winners and guests moved to the Pavillon Cambon Capucines where all were treated to a night to remember. Opera singers, light shows, acrobatics and an incredible violinist treated to all to entertainment between world class food and drink.
Of course the night was topped off with a party late into the evening, and the perfect end to another successful year!
